What is HTTPS ?
HTTPS (HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure) is an SSL protocol for secure browsing.
You can know a website is secure by checking its URL : https://www.monblog.fr for example, or making sure your browser displays a paddock.
HTTPS guarantees confidentiality thanks to an authentication certificate, and the integrity of the data sent by the user to a website.
Usually, https is used for financial transactions, but it is also used to consult private data such as your mailbox.
HTTPS and Overblog:
The administration of your blogs has already been secured with HTTPS for several years.

We are currently working on securing blogs displayed by visitors. Thus, all transfered data, especially comments, newsletter data and other forms’ data, will be secured.
